David Blachley or David Blanchley, of The Shutter Factory, 21st Century Shutters, The Blind Man, Ex-Employee Reports! Rip-off businesses from hell - fraudulent ripoff businesses

Let's see where we can begin to unravel Mr. Blachley's response. He claims he has not owned a business for the past 10 years or so? Go to the Nevada Secretary of State's web site and type in Diamond Coat Technology and Milling Inc. Lo and behold, David Blachley is listed as the President, Secretary and Treasurer! How convenient.

As the first report stated, when the law suits pile up, he closes shop and opens the same business under the veil of a new corporate owner. The new corporate owner is a company incorporated in California in 1967 by the name of Windecor, Inc. The type of business is listed as "Plastic fabricator of decorative decals." The last listing of corporate officers is from the year 1982, and the corporation is in "suspended status" meaning they have no legal right to do business in California. Is this a "dummy corporation?" On the business license with the city of Orange, a Steven F. Stucker is listed as the company president, even though the listing of the corporate officers on file with the Secretary of State (CA) shows no one by this name. Hmmmmm.

There are at least seven unresolved lawsuits on file in Orange County filed against his former company (Diamond Coat Tech.) which have not been paid by Mr. Blachley. As with mine, these were default judgemnets against the defendant (s).

I have personally spoken to all of the plaintiffs in these cases and the stories are similar: Extreme defects in material and workmanship (nicks and scrapes in the paint, warped louvers, louvers not staying shut), horrible customer service, no or slow response to the most simple questions, misrepresentation of the product (our sales lady told us this product was 100% basswood when in fact the majority is particle board!), misrepresentation of the ease of installation of the shutters ("your wife could install these with a couple of screws, " we were told), and every other nightmare imaginable.

None of these issues have been resolved even though the "new company" says they are remedying the mistakes of the now defunct company. I know in one case the delivered product of one customer was so damaged that only after threats did the company come and pick up the shutters and promise to fix the problems. They never heard from Mr. Blachley or 21st Century Shutters again.

Check the Better Business Bureau yourself before doing business with this company. All of the information cannot be false as Mr. Blachley claims. And if history repeats itself as it seems to have with Mr. Blachley, the pattern will start over again with the new company. I invite Mr. Blachley to try and refute what has been said here - he cannot.

Every word is the truth, and two things David; there are three sides to every story - side A, side B, and the truth - and for good reading's sake, take some English lessons!
