In December we purchased a "quality" Full Pillow Top mattress from the Mattress Direct store in Slidell, LA. At a cost of $800.00. The mattress was for my 89 year old Mother who had just lost everything in hurricane Katrina.By February, she noticed several "sink holes" in the mattress. Upon complaint to the store where it was purchased, we were directed to file a warrenty claim.
The response was a brief letter noting that "some body impressions in this style of bedding are to be expected...". The holes are not "body impressions". They are sink holes which bottom out when any pressure is applied.
In my opinion, Serta is either selling factory seconds as top quality, new units or they are aware that their product is so
poor that they protect themselves with a meaningless warrenty.
I'm sure that in two months my 105 pound Mother really made
some significant "body impressions" that sink to the bottom.
