We hired East-West Moving & Storage to move from Virginia to Arizona. We were charged significanlty more than the estimate, charged for services we never recieved and they busted up about 1/3 of what they handled. They refused to answer our complaints for months when we called them on it.
We even paid $650 for "special motorcycle crating and handling" which we never recived. The movers damaged my show-quality motorcycle to the tune of $1,500, which E-WM&S refused to pay. The biked was covered with a blanket and strapped to the inside of the turck. Thier retort was that since we didn't have photos of the bike as it was being loaded, they wouldn't be responsible for the damages (smashed gas tank and blinkers broken off).
Some of our possessions were so damaged in shipment by E-WM&S that they had to be thrown out as they were beyond repair. After we filed a complaint with E-WM&S, they took 90 days to respond, and then told us that they never received the report. We had to refile.
The bottom line is that E-WM&S agreed that they owe us $21. TWENTY-ONE DOLLARS! If they will rip us off, they will rip you off. They are completely disreptuable and the very difinition of "bait and switch." AVOID EAST-WEST MOVING & STORAGE AT ALL COSTS.
