We hired Tony Broughton to install a air handler and ac in our home. He got 60% of the total job up front, we singed a contract and he was supposed to have the job done in a week. My three children and I went without heat for ten weeks and when he finally finished he did not do the job according to our contract and we did not feel like he had hooked it up properly so we refused to give him the remaining 40% until he fixed it he then refused again to do anything further and demanded his money.
I then told him that the state H.V.A.C. Office was going to come and inspect it and if it was right we would pay him. Well the state came to our home with 3 inspectors and two weeks later we received the report and it had 21 state code violations on Tonys work. The state promised that if they found any violations they would make him fix it or take his lisence. They did not do this or anything else to him. They sent me a letter stating that Tony and I had a contractual disagreement and that they could not get in the middle of it. They completly went agaist what they said they would do if any were found and any violations found means laws were broken. I cant understand why Tony did this to us and why the state turned agaist us after they said they would help.
