I purchased an Essex model Jim Walter home. The first contractor pleaded with me to sign a tender agreement, turning the house over to me, with payments due in 60 days. She had children and would lose her job if she could turn in this house as complete in September. I signed it with all the unfinished work notated on the agreement. She promised it would be finished the first week in October. It is January, she has been fired and replaced by a liar that is just as sorry as she is. He has promised for months that the work will be done next week. No one has been to my house yet. I am making payments and the work is not done.
There are supposed to be 2 sets of shutters on the front windows, there are 3 sets and no set matches the other sets. 2 are red, one is black. They have not treated for termites, though I am paying for termite treatment. The plumber ran the septic pipe out of the wrong side of the house and broke the concrete block to run pipe. He moved the pipe to the right side but no one has fixed the hole in the block.
I have at least 1 outlet that does not work, a window that won't stay up, painting and caulking that needs doing. They cut up the siding on the front of the house installing a transom window. There are big gaps around the bathroom window on the inside. Too many little things to list here, but they need to take care of this and quit lying about it.
