We bought a used trailer from CMT aka Love homes in Feb3. We put our land up and they took care of paper work.
We told they we lived in Arkansas and even told they how many miles it was from them. Before making the deal. They said no problem. After the deal was done and all the paper signed (3 trips later) they told us our trailer would be delivered with in a couple of week no more that 30 days, most of the time. But that the trailer were move in order of the date sold first sold first moved.in march we were told our trailer would be moved to our land between March 16 and March 21.
We had added land improvements to our deal. We had contractor standing by to put in new septic system and electric. Pole ready to be moved as well as phone water etc. Land was prep and ready.
On March 21 we called and Mike told us they were not going to be moving us our trailer that they had changed there minds. When asked why Kathy and Mike stated they had no one bonded to move trailer from Oklahoma to Arkansas. They stated they didn't feel like they could make us happy. We where to far for them to make sure that if needed we could get warranty work done.
3 months after we had signed the deal and given them our $2000.00 down payment it was returned to us via mail. We never received anything in witting that the deal was off.
By waiting on them the septic system ended up costing us $400.00 more and another $150.00 for dirt. We also were out a few thousand dollars getting things ready.
When we bought trailer we received a thank you card from Kathy. But when they pulled the deal we received NOTHING!
CMT was no help when we called they they gave us the run around saying that we were not in there computer system and when I gave them our account number they told me it was not in the system and if not in the system they could not help us. But they didn't have a problem cashing the down payment check.
They lied from the start!
We have a lawyer, now we will have to wait and see what happens
