Ripoff has the poorest Customer Service of any company

I'm so disgusted by the customer service/technical support that Carrier Corporation offers. I have spoken with 2 service reps in the past about their products and they have no information about their product. All calls are referred to dealers in the field. The website contains no information about the units, measurements, performance, etc. What are they hiding?

I specifically asked for the corporate office phone number and was refused by a guy named Sean. He said that information was not availabe to me and he could not give it out. I had to look it up on the internet. Justin reluctantly gave me a city (that was incorrect) and I had to ask for the state name (he apparently doesn't know that we have 50 of them).

I have spent more days than I should be spending trying to get information about the Carrier products. The reputation on the HVAC boards of Carrier is not good and I'm starting to see why. I am forced to put the Condensor that Carrier makes back into my house because it is the only one that will fit. I'm really afraid to spend one dime on their product.

All phone calls for technical information are supposed to go to local dealers, yet they are not representatives of Carrier. I had a local dealer tell me that the unit I was interested in was not available in my area. I happened to know that it is a current model, but it is readily available. The dealer wanted to sell me a more expensive unit. Are these the people that Carrier should have representing them in the field?

I finally reached the President's office and was quickly referred back to Consumer Relations. How can changes be made if people like the President doesn't hear about how bad the customer service is?

I'm disgusted with Carrier's attitude and refusal to help and am going to spend my time now searching for an alternative to the Carrier product. My suggestion to Carrier is wake up and see that people like Justin and Sean in your customer service departments are a hinderance to your company, not an enhancement. Imagine someone refusing to give you the coporate headquarters location city. Shame on you Carrier.
