Sears Service Agreement Frustration! - sears repai

Beware sears service agreements! Over the last 3 months, we have had 5 service techs out to "fix" our dishwasher. The longest it ever worked after they left was 2 washings. Several times it quit working the same day! Some parts have been replaced more than once.

Just a sample of what they don't tell you when you buy a service agreement:

U2022 You will be placed on a much-lower-priority status, so even if there are plenty of appointments available according to their online scheduling site, those appointments are not for you. We often wait 3 weeks for the next service appointment.

U2022 While all the "techs" were friendly, some have absolutely no idea what they are doing. One actually told us this. After he "fixed" our dishwasher with over-the-phone directions, it stopped working the same day. A later tech revealed to us that he had left parts out that now made us require more parts be ordered.

U2022 They tell you that a tech must recommend replacing the actual dishwasher when there have been way too many unsuccessful attempts. The last tech who came didn't even work for Sears and told us he had absolutely no authority at all!

U2022 In a nutshell: After over three months of doing dishes by hand, 5 visits, and many hours spent on the phone, we are now looking forward to doing all the dishes by hand for our New Year's Eve party.

U2022 when will this end!?!?
