My husband and I in the spring of 2006 picked out a lovely engagement ring and two bands to match, with the plan of joining them together. The purchase was made at the Greenwood Mall Kay%u2019s in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Once we were married and relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, I took my ring to the Mall of Georgia to have the bands joined together. I was informed that my bands would be sent to Jareds to have the bands joined together. The rings came back with less than satisfactory workmanship. The bands were not aligned and the engagement ring was not centered, absolutely not what you expect from a major jewelry store.instantly I noticed the horrible workmanship. The rings were returned for corrections. When the bands returned they were better then the first attempt, but still out of alignment. The bottom of the bands were thinned out from the re-soldering, with fear of receiving worse, I reluctantly accepted the rings. One day while shopping and having my rings cleaned, I complained to Chris at the Sugarloaf Mills Mall Kay%u2018s in Lawrenceville, I informed Chris about how horrible the Mall of Georgia location did, and how disappointed I am in Kay%u2019s quality. Chris, being super caring and a sweet lady with wonderful customer service convinced me to give it one more shot, that her repairs go to a different location. After two weeks, I was told by Chris that it has to be sent to Kay%u2019s Corporate office, because the Mall of Georgia location did the original work, and repair, her repair office couldn%u2019t touch it. She refused to send it back to the Mall of Georgia after their two failed attempts to return it correctly. After a long three to four weeks without my rings. I received it back 99% better then the previous two attempts but still not what I would expect coming from a big, well-known jeweler such as Kay%u2019s. Adding even more frustration that it would come back from the main office still not perfect. This time the bands were aligned correctly and the bottom of the ring, where they are joined looks perfect, but the engagement ring is still not centered with the bands. I don%u2019t understand how someone not working as a jeweler can see this, but someone who is a jeweler can%u2019t. I will never refer to Kay%u2019s or buy from Kay%u2019s again. I shouldn%u2019t be writing this letter or having to deal with this. We put so much money into what is supposed to be a happy memory, and instead all we have is frustration and disappointment. I have included all receipts of purchase and repairs. I hope you fix this issue before I post this letter and receipts online. Make it right! After writing this letter to the headquarters of Kay's Jewelry. I received a phone call where the lady argued with me that because the bands and engagement ring didn't come as a set it will never be perfect. I didn't realize that just because the rings were not a set that the engagement ring couldn't be centered with the bands, to me that is just poor jewelry workmanship. Do Not Buy from Kay Jewelry!!!
