Greenlake electric is a dishonest and unethical company. As an apprentice with this company. I had worked with them for over a year and a half and had accrued a weeks paid vacation. With being an apprentice and one of only 2 employees I was given a lot of responsibility I had never had. With that responsibility I had made a few mistakes in my time with Greenlake that unfortunately the owner had to pay for because he chose not to claim it on insurance.in one incident I had drilled through a ladies hardwood and the estimated repair was around $5000. A little after this happened I had a planned trip to go on a short vacation. I had asked Patrick and Brenda if I was able to use my vacation time. Brenda said she would put it in the calendar and Patrick had said that I had accrued my vacation time, thus both implying that using my time and taking a vacation was acceptable. So, after going on vacation and returning I put on my timecard my paid vacation time. On a side note I had only taken 2 days of vacation and I had asked to use all my days when I returned because my work had basically come to a stand still probably out of punishment from them. When I went to get my paycheck they asked me to come pick it up from there house and that they wanted to speak to me. When I got there they told me they were not going to give me any of my paid vacation time and told me that it was punishment for a mistake the floor mistake I had made. Brenda went so far as to say it was a careless mistake even though she has no clue what working in the field is like. And Patrick claimed he would not be claiming this on insurance because his rates would go up so rather he was just not going to give me my paid vacation. So if you think that Patrick is your guy for the electrical job, your dead wrong. Just think of how he will scam you if he is ok with treating his employees that way. I would never recommend Greenlake electric to anyway. And I will be passing this story all through the Internet and by word of mouth. I hope you do too.
