I saw this website on TV and decided to take a further look. After filling in my information, and reading everything on the front page, I decided to process through to see the order form and final price before I decided whether or not I wanted the product.
The front page claimed "card will be charged when you click CONFIRM CHECKOUT" whereas the button on the front page read "PROCESS ORDER". This gives the consumer, me, the impression I will be taken to a checkout page where I can confirm or deny my order.instead, when clicked, I am given ad after ad about add-on products to my order. I never reach a checkout page, but instead a confirmation page on my order.
Later, a confirmation email is sent to me. For an order of FOUR (4) orders of product I had not wanted, and for a price I wasn't expecting. I called my bank immediately and put a stop to the payment so it wouldn't process. The stop was put on both the product "Magic Tap" for the amount in which the confirmation email stated they charged ($125.19).
The website did not offer any way to immediately view my "order", cancel my "order", or anyone I could contact. Neither did the confirmation email. Two days after I put the stop payment on the order, I have a different amount deducted from my account ($122.23) from an unknown name ("IDEASTREAM CONSCLEVELAND").
Unknowning as to where this charge came from, I filed a claim against it as a fraudulent charge with my bank. I then decide to go back to BuyMagicTap.com to "Track Order" with my order number from the confirmation email I had received (since I can only access the order from their site AFTER it ships).
Sure enough, the amount on the shipping statement shows the total charge as $122.23 rather than $125.19 like the email confirmation, and has no additional information on the order, the status, or anyone I can get ahole of.
