Complaint / Review
Tidewater Workshops
7 MONTHS and still no bench which has been paid for!

I purchased a bench in May and my credit card was charged. After numerous phone calls and emails, still no bench. Always the same story, bench will be shipped the following week, some problem in the shipping department.

You all be the judge:

To Whom It May Concern,

I certainly have a problem with your company. Having just done a bit of research I realize I should have read and paid attention to the negative reviews you've been receiving. Your customer service is abysmal. You state that orders take between 3 and 4 weeks. How do you justify the over 6 months that I've been waiting, not to mention the lies I'm told every time I phone? It's always going to be
shipped out at the end of the week.

Can you tell me why I have not received the bench I ordered on May 15th?
That is over six months ago. I should not have been charged for this item
until it shipped. I'm reporting you to the Better Business Bureau. I don't know what's going
on with your company but there's no excuse for treating customers this
way and I will never order another thing from you.

I would appreciate the truth this time, regarding receipt of this bench. I'm all out of patience.

We will review your order ASAP and make sure that our CEO reviews your
order personally. We are very sorry for what is clearly a mis-labeling
and information mix-up between our shipping department and customer
service. You should not have had to wait 6 months!

Additional Terms & Conditions:

A further word about posting comments online. Comments posted online at "review" sites (which are really complaint-driven sites) live forever in cyberspace.in order to post something online, it is necessary to make sure that what you write is honest, factual, and every word written will be true FOREVER. Our experience is that we could fill tens of thousands of orders properly and with no problem, but a handful of temporarily unhappy people posting an angry rant makes it appear to customers as though their experience is the norm. If you have had a great experience, tell your friends, your family and tell us too. If you are in the middle of a less-than-perfect experience, tell our CEO at [email protected].

If you are angry and hastily decide to post an online complaint or review and use our name and/or registered marks on a website that is selling third party merchandise with ad-words or links,
that is a violation of our mark and/or copyright. This is also true if you decide to write or email any one of a number of third-party, for-profit "better business" agencies.

Because of the destructive nature of comments posted online either directly or through a third-party, for-profit "better business" agency, Tidewater Workshop reserves the right to protect our interests and seek recovery of damages should an online posting use our marks without authorization or appear
and have inaccurate, misleading and/or defamatory, actionable language or language that was true at one point but is no longer true. There is a misconception that companies - large and small - are fair game like politicians where anyone can say or write anything and get away with it.
Tidewater Workshop is part of the larger online movement where companies now have to take a aggressive stance to defend themselves - often in court - against libelous and other law-breaking postings. It is sad that the internet has yet to police itself but that day is coming.

As such, at the moment any customer executes and provides payment for an order with Tidewater Workshop in any manner, that customer agrees to the following:

I agree that the transaction with Tidewater
Workshop represents a contract between Tidewater Workshop and myself. As
such, contractually, I explicitly agree that I will not post any comment, review, or other details of this transaction without the express written consent of Tidewater Workshop. I further agree to handle
any dispute regarding our transaction directly with the CEO of Tidewater Workshop and no other party. I further agree that any litigation regarding this transaction will be within the jurisdiction
chosen by Tidewater Workshop. I understand that if I violate these terms, I am responsible for any and all damages suffered by Tidewater Workshop.

To Whom it May Concern,

Well I've done everything in my power to resolve this issue with you. I have phoned numerous times over the past 4 or 5 months and am always told the item will be shipped the following week. I have emailed your CEO and your help department, all to no avail.in addition you have the nerve
to try and suppress my posting internet complaints against Tidewater. I will post this correspondence and let the buyers BEWARE. It is now SEVEN MONTHS and still no bench.
