This is a very recent chat that i had with magic jack customer support team and still my issue was not resolved after 6 hours of wasted time... And the following is a conversation which had with a "supervisor"

Josh: under “Privacy” tab, slide the bar down to “Accept all cookies”

Josh: Under “Security” tab, click on “Trusted Sites” then click the “Sites” button

Josh: Un-check the box at the bottom left of the window that says “Require Server Verification”
AF: YUP AND HAVE ADDED HTTPS://MAGICJACK.com AND HTTPS://REG. TALK4FREE.com
Josh: Please go to control panel and click windows firewall
AF: ALREADY HAS BEEN TURNED OFF
Josh: Click "exceptions" tab.
AF: WHERE DO I SEE THAT?
Josh: In the left corner click " turn windows firewall on or off"
AF: OKAY NOW???
Josh: click on ADD ports. Then type in name MJ1 then 5060 on ports then select UDP then click OK. Then click on ADD ports again then type in name MJ2 then 5070 on ports then select UDP then click OK.

AF: OKAY DONE
josh: Click on ADD ports. Then type in name MJ3 then 10000 on ports then select UDP then click OK. Then click on ADD ports again then type in name MJ4 then 20000 on ports then select UDP then click OK.

AF: OKAY DONE THAT TOO
Josh: Click ok

Josh: On Device Manager window, click sign next to Sounds, video and game controllers.
AF: OKAY DONE
Josh: Can you see a *USB Audio Device*?
AF: NO
Josh: How about usb phone by tigerjet?
AF: no
Josh: Try to check under under human interface devices
AF: no not there too
Josh: Tell me what device you see under Sounds, video and game controllers.
AF: NVIDIA HDMI AUDIO, REALTEK HIGH DEF. AUDIO, UNIMODEM HALF-DUPLEX
Josh: Right click realtek then select update.

AF: IT'S BEEN DONE
AF: THERE I DID IT AGAIN
AF: DONE
Josh: Now, right click on any installed device under Disk drives and select "Scan for Hardware Changes".

AF: OKAY DONE
AF: DONE
Josh: Tell me if usb phone or usb audio device showed up.

AF: YEAH WE HAVE THE TIGERJET THINGY BACK AGAIN
Josh: The usb phone by tigerjet?
AF: YES
Josh: Right click on it then select update driver.

AF: OKAY DONE
Josh: Unplug your magicjack then plug in back.

AF: okay done... Nothing it is still not working... I am really sick and tired of this magic jack... It's not working it's magic!!!
Josh: Did you try to use another phone?
AF: listen man... I don't have another phone... I want to use this phone and this particular phone is working with ATT... So why not magic jack???
Josh: Please unplug your phone from your magicJack and leave your magicJack connected to the computer. Now place a call using the soft phone/dial-pad on your screen. If the call goes through, please try using a different phone with your magicJack
AF: I HAVE DONE THAT AS PER ONE OF YOUR OTHER EXPERTS... But my question went unanswered at that time too... Why won't it work with this particular phone... AND WHY IS THAT SAME PHONE WORKING WITH ATT?

Josh: If your phone wont work in you device, the reason is your phone is not compatible to your device and you have to use another phone.

Af: i have been on resolving this issue since 8 pm today and have gone through so many of you... So called experts and specialists... And that is the end result i get... It is now 1:30 am here... I am not very satisfied... Supervisor!!!

josh: are you using a router?
Af: what if i buy another phone and what if that does not work and then the next and then the next... Your device should be compatible to all phones... And not vice versa!!!

josh: a modem?
Af: no... I am using a att modem... But why would i use a router or a modem with this magic jack?
Josh: technically magicjack runs with the internet protocol. Basically you need the internet connection. A modem or a router.

AF: OKAY AND SO HOW WOULD THAT HELP MY SITUATION?
Josh: I need you to reboot your modem for 3 minutes only. This will help to refresh the audio connection of your magicjack and give clear audio quality after the reboot.

Af: you know what forget it... It still does not help me using my handset and will not make a difference with the sound... So let's just end this... And i am sending this gadget back on monday!!!
