I am writing to complain about the Xbox One not coming to South Africa on launch. I have been extremely brand loyal to Microsoft and Xbox for years, even through all the new restrictions you have placed on us with the new console (ie, used games)
The breaking point though was when you announced that the XBO will not be released in SA, or any other country other than the initial 21. You are already losing a large number of customers to Sony with their new console, and now you have just alienated a massive number of customers with this bombshell, especially since the PS4 isn't region locked.
I partially understand your decision, but you cannot really afford to distance yourself from most of the world when Sony is gaining most of the votes with the new console generation. South Africa has a massive gaming community, with Rage being the largest gaming convention in Africa, and most of the Southern Hemisphere.
All I'm saying is that you are making a huge mistake.
I hope you take to heart my message. Even though I am one person complaining, I am voicing the concerns and frustrations of 10's of thousands of people, and once we change console brands, we will never go back to Xbox
