We always service our treadmill with Sears, however this time was the first time that the service was not covered by the extended warranty. The tech stayed in our house no more that 15 min and the only thing he did was to adjust the belt with an Allen wrench. He charged us $220. The "repair" last 3 days, after that was impossible (very dangerous) to use it. We were ready to buy a new one, but we decided first to take a look in YouTube, just in case. Bottom line, we repair the treadmill in few minutes (the belt from the engine was completely loose). So far It has been working great for more than a month.
Since the Sears service has been great in the past, we are wondering if it was just a bad tech or because we don't have any longer warranty they have an strategic plan to force the customers to get a new one. We are very disappointed and of course we will not consider Sear an option for future repairs.
