Cheated me. Since when does FULL coverage NOT fully cover?!?!

Around the 14th of August, I called several insurance companies about a quote for my recently purchased car with the intentions of getting a better priced quote than the monthly payment I had from State Farm. When I spoke to this agent, I told him I wanted full coverage on my vehicle, he compared my coverages with state farm (which was full coverage) and SUPPOSEDLY gave me a better deal than the one I had with State Farm.

I was paying State farm around $170.00/month for full coverage and this agent from GEICO told me the quote from GEICO was going to be around $150.00/month. The agent also mentioned all these great GEICO services I was going to be covered for INCLUDING my full coverage insurance and a rental car in case I ever got into an accident he was very pleasant and I was very happy with the service at that moment.

HOWEVER, a month and two days later, I get into an accident in which I was sadly at fault for. I called GEICO right away and filed a claim. They told me the claim department was going to be open the next day by 7AM, so I called them first thing the next morning only for them to inform me that my vehicle was not covered collision NOR rental car services. I would have NEVER switched to GEICO if I was going to pay twenty dollars LESS for LIABILITY instead of FULL COVERAGE. Nobody in their right mind would do such thing!

I called the company that same day about two or three more times just for them to tell me they couldnt help me with my problem and they wouldnt let me speak to a supervisor because according to them, they would tell me the same thing they just did. A couple days later GEICO calls me to tell them my version of what happened in the accident. After I told them what happened, I asked them if I could talk to a supervisor about my situation and Alissa Nesbit at the service department said a supervisor would call me around 4:30pm.

It's the first of November and I still haven't heard from GEICO ever since. I know I was told I was going to have a very similar coverage for $20 less per month. Why would I have switched from FULL COVERAGE to LIABILITY ONLY for only twenty dollars less a month? I Don't know if the conversation was recorded or not when this agent told me all the great things about my new policy at GEICO but I sure hope there's a way you guys can find out.

My car is damaged to the point I can't drive it anymore, the axel is broken of the right front side, the back right side is damaged and both of the airbags came out. My car cost me $6,500 and the damages are about $3'000-$4,000 worth of fixing if not more. I trusted this agent when he said I was going to have full coverage just like I told him that I wanted and needed and I was lied to apparently. Worst of all, I don't have a car to be able to get to and from work everyday because my car is a wreck and I dont have the money to fix it on my own. Now I have to be asking people for a ride to and from work because I don't have a rental service either.

I'm very unhappy with the lack of professionalism of this GEICO company and the fact that the various times I called, nobody found a way to help me out or contact a supervisor and much less, call me back. I would hate to get agent AJ spangler fired because that's definitely not the point or purpose of my letter to you. I need help from somebody and I hope you guys could help me find a solution to my situation. It's not fair the way I got robbed because if anything, liability should have been much cheaper than $150 a month and mainly, I asked for full coverage!

Isn't a friendly customer service company supposed to give a customer what they want and need? I'm very disappointed with GEICO and unlike GEICO, I hope you guys can contact me soon and help me out with this problem. Thank you very much for your attention and I hope to hear back from you soon.
