The transmission went out in our car. This is the only vehicle my husband has to get him to and from work to support me and our three kids. We saw Cottmans phone book ad "30 years in business" and made the BIG mistake of taking it there. They charged us $375 just to look inside of it. They told us it would be $1700 to fix it and then kept the car 2 weeks knowing it was the only car we had!
We made 5 calls during those 2 weeks asking them when our car would be ready... Everytime the owner gave us some bullsh* answer like, "we have to special order the pieces" and "we just cannot figure out what is wrong with it." Can you beleive this? Thirty years in business??? Anyway they finally "fixed" it and one week after getting it back the transmission went out again!
We took it back to them and they "fixed" it again. Our car was first fixed in May it is now October and again the transmission has gone completely out only five months after Cottman told us "when we fix a transmission it is for the life of the car". These people rip you off and I hope they get put out of business.
