Schneider National Repo, Rip off, Unprofessional, Uncaring, Disrespectful, Money Hungry, Loan Sharks

SFI (Schneider Finance) are a bunch of money hungry heartless jerks. This is a long story and I hope that you have time to read through it. I did not know anything about sites like this when this happened unfortunately, or I would have done it a lot sooner. Too bad but I feel I need to get this off my shoulders.

First, back in I bought a truck. I was not given many options, the interest rate was stupid high (over 20 percent), and low and behold, the thing was a lemon.

I was new to trucking, and went bankrupt fast, attempts to get help from SFI failed. I kept that truck for nearly two years, and finally the engine went out. I was young, 25 years old, and had no way of fixing it.

SFI was very rude, told me it was not their problem blah blah blah. I finally had to get my grandfather to call them and threaten a lawsuit. They finally called me back and offered me the worst truck I had ever seen in my life. It had body damage, 700,000 miles on it, and smelled really bad. The interior was trashed.

My first truck may have been a lemon, but I kept it nice, it was clean, and I was proud of it. To lose that truck which I had coined "my baby" for this hunk of junk was unbelievable. My grandfather drove down from Washington to look at what they were offering, and called them back, saying no way in heck was I taking THAT.

To make a long story short, I was offered a much nicer truck. It was instant love. I had to drive from Portland to Green Bay, WI to pick it up. Rental car cost, whole 9 yards. When I got there, the truck was everything they said it would be.

I bought it, again for a completely stupid markup, the truck was worth about 40,000 dollars, and final cost was 91,000. Thankfully it was not a lemon, and I had many good years with it. Finally I was at the end of the contract, was charged a huge fee to "refinance the balloon payment" which was only 7500 dollars. $7500.00 left out of $91,000!!!

During that time I had found out I was pregnant. Imagine my surprise when I found out it was twins!!! Well, when they were delivered, I developed severe complications. I had contracted a hospital grade infection that almost ended my life. 18 weeks in the hospital, and another 6 months bedrest with constant home nurse care, etc.

I called Schneider several times, trying to explain the situation. I had actually worked up until 3 days before my kids were delivered, to try to prevent missing a payment. Try being 39 weeks pregnant with twins and driving a freaking truck! If that did not show my dedication, nothing would.

They were heartless, did not care. I need to mention that while I had this truck, I had hand rebuilt the top of the engine myself, had a custom show truck paint job put on it, and it was totally beautiful. This was 2008 when I got the infection.

Again I tried to reason with them, in the meantime, I lost my apartment, and everything else. A small community in Florida was putting me and my family up in a small house, and taking care of us since no one else seemed to care.

Schneider had their "Investigators" calling day and night, looking for the truck. They were mean, cussing, and would not even allow a person to speak. I also need to mention that my condition was documented as a pending lawsuit against the hospital in question, and we had actually been featured on the 10:00pm news in Jacksonville, for an outreach of help for us.

The kids were born in May of and I did the only thing I could, and that was try to hide the truck, and bide time so I could get another loan since Schneider was being absolutely impossible. I ended up in the hospital again, and my now ex had to break the news to me that they had found and repossessed the truck. For $7500 dollars... They got their money twice over. They are heartless and absolutely refused to let me make payments, even though I tried. It was the full amt or nothing!

Don't buy from these people. That truck was my life and I loved it like my own kids. It ended my marriage, my family, and my job as I quit trucking after that, I did not have any desire after losing my tractor. The horrible thing is that I was told it sold for 29,000 dollars, so actually they made their money 3 times over.

Schneider could have made arrangements, tried to help, but they took the opportunity to profit off of a horrible situation instead. They play dirty pool. Stay away!!!
