I purchased the Jeep on Feb. 20 of 2012. I was impressed with the Jeep and the process, my salesman was very good. At the end of May I was driving up the highway and I heard a loud knocking noise, as I drove a little more it got louder so I pulled over. When I pulled into a newby gas station, the front right wheel literally broke off. I called AAA and they towed it to Carmax in Norcross. I was ok with the situation because I purchased the full warranty - Maxcar plan for $2300, and was promised "peace of mind".
After review the service manager claims this will not fall under warranty since it was not a collision or mechanical failure. I disagree completely. I did not have the tires rotated, only the oil changed in mid-May. I am being charged for the tow, the rental car, the technician's fee for looking into it, and an estimate for $1200 to fix the tire. My fender was bent in the process.
