My wife and I took over payments on her parents 1999 Ford F-150 in June. Since that time I have noticed that the paint on the hood and top of the cab is cracking and bubbling. This is due to the factory not prepping the vehicle properly. So I called Ford in Canada and was on the phone for about half an hour with a lady who finally told me that Ford would not take any financial responsibilty. Now I can see their point if the truck was ten or fifteen years old, but it's only three years old. So now I guess my only option is to write this complaint. And if this doesn't work, I'm sure that the Inland Empire, and Los Angeles TV news media could have a field day with this one!
I just want my truck to look like it's only three years old, and have Ford step up and say, "Yes you're right Dustin we did screw up at the factory, we'll have that taken care of for you promptly." I want to see some real customer service.
