I was recently an employee at a New Car dealership named Hemborg Ford. I was employed there for only 2 1/2 months. I am new to the car sales business. But being in sales my entire life, I took this job hoping to find a new career. After 20 years of self-employment. I was ready for a change to become a working man. Before we get into this I would like to give the
dealerships information.

Ok now the outrage that I found out.
I was signed onto a contract, (that I still have) my contract basically states. That I would be compensated in this manner.
Vehicle Commission Plan
1-7 = 20% per unit sold
8-12 = 25% per unit sold (retro to 1)
13-17= 30% per unit sold (retro to 1)
18- 35% per unit sold (not retro)
When the 25% and 30% commission levels are hit in any month you will start at that level for the next new month.
The really important section of the contract states that the dealer holds back $400.00 of the gross profit for the dealership. This pack is listed in our contract the same for new & used vehicles. Also known as a dealer pack. This is a very common act, the state of California is supposed to regulate. Now I would say that this is not a bad design if it were cherished & honored.
In this complaint I am going to supply the stock numbers of the vehicles, and what kind of vehicle as well as the price it was sold for, as well as what I was paid. I will not include the customer names. That just would not be ethical.
As I began to sell cars my first one only took me a few days, not as long as I expected.
As I said the dealer pack is the really important part of this complaint. I found from managers that I worked with at Hemborg Ford. The dealer is actually packing these vehicle a whopping $2400.00 per unitThis is not disclosed to the sales man in
contract or on the vouchers.
That is basically stealing from the sales person $480 per transaction they make.By doing this they are showing the sales person on the vouchers, all vehicle sold are either what they call a loser or a very slim profit margin. I was alerted by this & started questioning it very quickly while I was there. Being the ex-businessman I am of course I saved all of my vouchers, all of my check stubs & all of my pay registers. According to the management at Hemborg Ford. This causes the deal to
be what they call a mini.in other words the minimum amount they have to pay you on a sale. That is $100.00 they do this to avoid having to actually pay there sales people anything more than MINIMUM wage.
I said earlier that I found out about the pack from management. I did all of the managers were either terminated or quite because they to felt taking advantage of. When I say managers I mean upper management.
There were 3 of them total & that is were I got the number of $2400.00 All 3 managers gave me the exact same information & numbers, one also told me, a girl that worked in the business department even went as far as to tell him, that the owners son was packing the cars by putting his own broker fee, upon take in of the used car vehicles. Now this I have received any verification of, but once the Labor Commissioner of the State of California gets involved he will be able to verify this by opening & going threw the business records at Hemborg Ford. I am still owed money by Hemborg Ford They held one deal from me for 3 months & I still have not been fully compensated for it. This company does not deserve the hard work of there employees. They dont desire to be in business at all. Can you image work 196 hours in a month and coming home with a
check for less than minimum wage. I am doing this for one reason only. For all of the past, present & future sales people they rip off after working hard for there money.
In my short time employed at Hemborg Ford my sales total was $262,452.00. My total year to date earning (pay) was $3,908.13 before taxes, I ask how would you feel about that.
Before I get to the stock numbers I want to say. That when I am done here. This letter will be going to: usacomplaints.com, Google.com, Yelp.com, The California Labor Commission Board, Ford Corporation, Channel 5 KTLA news, Channel 2 NBC news, Channel 7 KABC & the Press Enterprise. Im sorry but no employee deserves to be treated in this manner. Mike Bain, the GM of Hemborg ford could have avoided all of this simply by being an honest person & doing what he says he is going to

If all allegations of there dealer pack are true Hemborg Ford for owes me for 13 cars that is a total of$6240.00 that would be a nice check to get. How much do they owe other salesmen?
