In april i bought a used vehicle from discount motors. The vehicle seemed to be in good condition when i gave it a test drive. The a/c, door locks, back hatch and check engine were the only things that were wrong with the vehilce. I put those items into the contract with discount prior to purchase with the understanding that discount would repair them free of charge.
When i finally put the vehilce in for service they kept the vehicle for almost 2 weeks for the check engine light. When i finally got the vehicle back the a/c and door locks were still not fixed. Discount then charged me for the parts and services they performed. After confronting them about this they stated that since it was too expensive to replace the locks that they wouldnt.
The a/c worked for 2 days before going out due to the leak that they did not fix. A week later i send my vehilce back in to discount to have the locks worked on along with the a/c. Discount had the vehicle over the weekend and when i got the vehicle back the locks worked by the a/c still wasnt fixed. Again discount motors charged me for this service. Again i questioned why i was being charged for service when the y put into the contract that these items would be repaired free of charge.
Their sales man raul stated its because its past the 30day mark to when you bought the vehicle. I told the sales that it would have been nice to have been advised of that policy. And that they again had failed to repair the a/c leak that was pointed out to them. When i talked to the manager i was told that the charges would stay and to bring in my vehicle again to have the a/c checked again.
Since they charge for prior noted items in my contract and love to add charges to items that they say they fix i will never recommend anyone to buy from discount motors. The service is below satisfaction and they charge for repairs that are listed on your contract. I recommend that any vehicle that is bought from this place be serviced by a real automotive service station or large dealership.
