Rubicon Express Control Arms Bushings

I recently bought a 01 Jeep Wrangler three months ago with an after market suspension lift already installed. Knowing it needed the bushings replaced, but not what to order, I took it up to Rock N Roll Offroad to have them look at it & order the necessary parts for a complete bushing replacement. I figured this the best solution as they specialize in off road products, could identify the manufacturer of the lift and order necessary parts. Upon arriving we worked with Jared Pugh. He came out & looked at my Jeep, ordered them for $415 & said would be in in about a week, this was on 5/26. Im not sure what happened at this point, but after countless calls to Rock N Roll & them telling me just a few more days I did not receive the parts until the first week of July, almost five weeks later. Upon picking the parts up, myself & my ASC certified mechanic friend mentioned that these did not look correct, he assured us they were correct & would not have an issue returning if not. I finally got a day free to do the work last Sunday & started on the rear, got the rear end out etc & they are incorrect. I returned the next Monday to return the parts & Jared says that he cannot refund the parts without a receipt, even though none was issued upon pickup. I brought my bank statement & parts with me showing his charge of $415 with his company listed etc, but he absolutely refuses to stand behind his word & will not refund back the charges. He admits that he looked at the Jeep & ordered the parts, but didn’t know that the company switched bushings. I am sorry, but in my opinion if you’re a professional in a business selling specialized products then it is your job to know what you’re selling, current market products, etc, ignorance is no excuse. Now he said I have to call the Manufacturer, Rubicon Express & send them pictures of my Jeep to get the correct part #'s, call him back with them & he will order them again for me! This is exactly what I took my Jeep there for in the first place & the job he was supposed to do that I am now doing. Regardless he gave me the # & I need these parts so I called them. Upon calling Rubicon Express I spoke with Tracy in customer service, who was very helpful. She stated that the parts that were sent to me were in fact incorrect - furthermore that Rock And Roll is not an authorized dealer for them (this was never mentioned until the attempted return), the parts that Rock and Roll provided have an MSRP of $90 not $415, and that these are stock items & no way should have taken five weeks to obtain. She told me to go to the Rock and Roll & try to get a refund, that the owner is taking advantage of me based on cost alone and provided the necessary part #’s needed for my Jeep. I then called Rock and Roll back & told Jared I spoke with the manufacturer as he suggested & what they told me. After a very heated discussion in which he was clearly agitated, he tells me all he can do for me is order the correct parts & refund the difference, he will not refund my money for the parts. So after doing his job for him, which he failed on the first attempt, he wants me to give him the part #’s & re-order through him after charging me a 400% markup & making me wait for five weeks for in house items through the mfg on first order. Not to mention now I’m finding out he’s not even an authorized dealer for them. Will end up in small claims court...
