I too am a victim of the "Diamond Advantage Plan"; we were told when we bot our 2002 Montero Sport in May that in 2 to 3 years we would receive a "voucher" for approx $5000 against another vehicle as long as we would trade in for another mitsubishi; We specifically asked about any mileage restrictions and were told there were none as long as we traded to a new mitsu; Now we are ready to start looking again and called this dealership.
They won't even talk to us; when I told the salesman that I wanted my payments to be around $450 and my current mileage is 40,000 he hung up on me and never called back. (Come to find out we are restricted to 12,000 miles a year) We pay our payments on time and after paying 2 1/2 years still owe nearly $20,000 on this car. And now realize that we will still owe approx $9500 in July; the car is only worth maybe $13,000 by kelley blue book standards now and the sticker was $24,000 just 2 years ago. Mitsubishi needs to be sued!!!
