2nd Attempt to Write Report; First Attempt timed out so I'm writing less this time:
On 5-03-12 I brough my 1999 Chrysler T&C, mileage 167,000 to Firestone for brake inspection.
I made it clear I am selling the vam and want to make it safe for next owner at least cost to me. Estimate worked up and given to me by Eric (Service Advisor)
I was "shown" that the rear wheel cylinders were totally shot and non-functional
Parts for ALL 4 brakes, pads, rotors, drums, hoses, calipers, brake combination kit and rear wheel cylinders

I took my van to an auto mechanic who replaced what was actually needed - who showed me that the rear wheel cylinders were functioning 100% (no leaks either) and after repairs and test drive stated that he would "drive my own family in this van with total confidence of safety)

Same Firestone - service advisor John (no longer there) gave me an estimate for a fuel pump for same van as costing $395.00 plus labor. I asked "Where are you getting the part from? Joh replied "Autozone right next door (Autozone is literally right next door). I called Autozone asking for the cost for the very same partand was told $129.00. I called John back who retorted that Autozone had quoted him $395.00.
I called Autozone back who told me "Not true at all"
Upon my insistence and threat to report the matter John replaced my fuel pump and charged me $129.00 for the part labor.
John attempted to charge me over 300% mark up for that fuel pump!
Ron (current manager) quoted me $383.00 to replace spark parks, distributor cap, rotors and wires in my Nissan 1998. Mechanic did the repairs for $144.00 That's $238.00 LESS.
When I spoke with Ron this morning all I get from him is " We are following Corporate policy on parts markup" Ron knows that I am unemployed and not collecting unemployment and cannot affors expensive repairs. Ron WAS NOT present on 5-03-12 nor when John quoted me for the fuel pump and I feel that Ron has strived to do right by me in the past so I'm not implicating him personally.
