RSM Auto Group
Lemon cars, misleading salespeople-Jose'-, false statements/promises, Poor Service Dept

I bought a truck from these people, namely, a guy named Jose', and it has been NOTHING BUT A MONEY PIT since the day (Wait, BEFORE the day I drove it off the lot!

First, I stopped by to look at a dodge dakota they had on their lot. Jose', a salesman, came over, introduced himself, and offered to help me. I explainedthat I had a local pool company, and that I'd been having truck troubles and was in need of something dependable. He explained to me that that would not be an issue with them, as they did a "36 point safety inspection on every vehicle on their lot, and anything in less than like-new condition was replaced before being sold" and offered me a test drive of the vehicle after I had looked it over.

I drove it to my shop down the street to show my boyfriend/partner - we own a pool company in the same town, which is why we try to do business locally! He pops the hood and removes the oil cap - a white, creamy goop was 3" thick on the cap - Needless to say, he says "Sorry, Babe. Keep Looking" So I take it back, park it in the same spot and bring Jose' the keys after doing a quick survey of the lot to see if they had something else that would work for me. (First Mistake!)

I tell him "Thanks, but no thanks - I guess they missed the engine on their 36 point inspection!"Long story short, Jose' would not leave me alone until I bought this truck: promising me a 6 month warranty (which, on closing turned out to be an extended warranty rolled onto the price of the truck, oh yes, I caught that and made them split it with me)

My partner showed Jose' the brake pads (or lack thereof, and insisted that they do a brake job, since that should certainly have been on even a "3 point safety inspection" much less a 36 pointer! He says OK, bring it in tomorrow and we'll do it - "we say WRITE IT ON THE DELIVERY TICKET AND SIGN IT" He does, and we make the deal. (SECOND MISTAKE) Anyway, I drop the truck off next day, get a call an hour later - The Rotors are beyond repair and I need to buy new ones - I say NO WAY, what about the warranty? NOT COVERED!

I agree to pay for the parts if they do the Labor for free. They do, and a brief three days later, I pick the truck up again. The first time I used the brakes one side locked up, so I take it right back, the owner is there, as are a few potential customers when I get out complaining loudly. He says that he'll take care of it @ no charge if I drop it off the next day. I do that, they call me another three days later and say it's ready. Jose' calls me several times in the afternoon to make sure I'm coming to pick it up before they close, so my boyfriend brings me in.

He asks Jose' where the truck keys are, and he says "in the office, she needs to sign a release". So, my boyfriend leaves, we go inside, and he hands me a bill for a new rotor! I only got out of paying that $300 ticket by threatening to call the cops! All of this was just in the first week, and has continued ever since - do not buy from these people!
