I received my first-ever Toll Violation Notice from HCTRA over the weekend. Imagine my surprise that 3 tolls that cost a combined $2.38 were going to cost me a $33 administrative fee.
After researching my toll tag account activity, it turns out that all 3 tolls registered at $0.00, yet the toll booths before and after each one registered accurately. And, for the 2nd alleged violation, the HCTRA claimed a toll amount that they don't even charge.
To top things off, I made the mistake of attempting to discuss this matter with someone at HCTRA. Sadly, it does not appear that they have any employees with functioning brain cells.
