I went to just brakes today to find out how much will it cost to replace my pads and to have them check a weird sound on one of my tires, before anything the guy @ the desk offer me a free inspection and after the inspection they were supposed to let me know what was needed and if i wanted to have it done i accepted the free inspection they took forever to doit finally they come up with a 900 and something evaluation the pads where ok except one the left rear it was completely gone (wore out because the piston in the caliper wasn't working correctly they try to charge me 149.99 to replace all 4 pads even known the other 3 were fine the said i need to replace the power steering fluid for 79.88, fuel system cleaning for 109.88, resurface 3 disks @ 33.50 each and a new disk for 67.47 and so on!
I refuse to do all this work all i wanted was an estimate about my problem (the brakes) they said that i had to pay at least 149.99 for the change of pads i told them that they were only doing the inspection but they said no you agree to do the pads change so they pretty much force me to pay for at least this and said that my biggest problem was the piston but they could fix this for 174 that this piston needed a couple seals and that was all i agree to fix this only i wait @ the place for 4 hours when they finally finish fixing the seals in the piston they pull my car out send me to the office and the charge me 164.95 labor total 69.50 for parts 9.00 for shop supplies and 6.36 tax 254.31 total for a couple seals
I look up @ autozone for the price of a new caliper and the price is 83.99 they over charge me for this i really like to know if i can do something against this people they should be out of business, please let me know what to do to get some kind of reimbursement because i could only spend the 83.99 for the caliper and that wouls solve the problem but insted they lie to me they only fix this 2 seals for 254.31 dls and i still need to buy a new rotor and the rear brake pads to completely get this taking care of, any advise will be much appreciated thanks
