On June 21 I called Team Ford in Tucker and was told to come in and see what they could do for me. I explained to the person I spoke with that I was trying to trade my car in because I commute to and from work over 100 miles a day and needed to get out of my current car because of the mileage.
I arrived at Team Ford husband and kids in tow. We were there from 2:00 P.M. To 8:00 P.M. They told me it would be impossible to trade my car in because it wasn't worth as much as I owed and I would be too upside down and it would cause me to have payments I could not afford if I applied it to my new loan. They told nme that if I kept my current car they could put me in a car. I did decide to keep my car because my son had just graduated from school and needed a car for work and college.
I talked to my son and explained he would have to make the payments. Which he has a pretty decent job for an eighteen year old and I knew he could handle a $300.00 payment a month. This would free me up from making that car note and I still had two years left to pay on it. My husband has a 1997 Montero which will be paid for in October and his payment on that is only $280.00 a month.
I understand if my credit was really bad which my beacon score is 626 so it's not that bad except for who knows how many times they ran my credit through. I test drove a used ford Escape and a new one. I liked the used one, but they told me the bank would not finance a new one becuase of the risk of breaking down that I could get into a new one with less mileage. I decided on the 2005 Ford Escape and I have had it a week today. I got a phone call tonight stating they want the car back that the fiancing fell through because I have three cars in my name if I get this one and I cannot carry three cars on my credit report.
I have had this car a whole week and now they want it back. I just do not understand how they can make me go through all that paper work and now I have to give it back. I filled out all the forms and even got how much my payment would be and everything. I spent six hours in that place and they let me drive off the lot and I wasn't even approved. How stupid could one be. That would be like giving someone $20,000 dollars in cash and calling them a week later and saying oops I need it back. Get for real they ripped me off. I even put extra money down and they better give it back.
Team Ford sucks and I will definitely spread the bad news, because I have a big mouth and that can be your worst enemy. I really am planning on protesting outside where everyone can see me that they are a rip off.
