My car was in a accident and was taken to a bodyshop for repair on 1/20 (the date above should be 2012). The other persons ins. Authorized a rental. Jeremy took down all the info (ins co name, policy#, claim#, etc). My ins co covers me in a rental minus the deductable. I ask for extra ins to cover the deductable from Enterprise. Was told the only thing I could get was $18/day. This I thought was outragious but I agreed because if there was just a small dent or scratch they would charge me the max.
The next morning I decided I really didn't need the rental so I took it back. I thought I would be charged the $18 on my credit card and the balance would go to the ins co. When I got my statement they had charged me the full amount. I called them 1/23 and complained. They said they could only send me a receipt and I would have to get the ins co to reimburse me. I said no because it was their mistake and they should take care of it. When they insisted that they couldn't I ask to speak to a supervisor. This person told me essentially the same thing, so I said I was going to file a complaint with the BBB. They said they would check into it.
I called back a couple days later and was told that they were waiting to hear back from someone higher up. I said OK, but if I didn't hear soon I would still file the complaint. They called back on the 31st and said they were still waiting to hear. It is now Feb 3rd and I still haven't heard back. I did call the credit card and explained what happened and they are sending me a form to fill out. It seems to me it would have been a very simple job to have corrected this. As it stands now I would like to have the entire amount reimbursed. Needless to say, I'll never use Enterprise in the future.
