Commerce insurance company... Please think twice! Unprofessional company and horrible experience! Find another auto insurance company

I have never written an online review before, but feel compelled to warn you of the negligent and abusive behavior of the members of this organization. I think of the thousands of dollars I have paid out to this organization for more than a decade, and remain in disbelief.

With a perfect driving record under my belt, I was hit from the side by a Jeep while my car was stopped. My clear, minimal soft tissue injury was turned into a federal case when they tried to exile me from treatment through sheer threats and harassment.

I saw a top Boston doctor who promptly sent me for a PT evaluation to avoid long-term effects. My PT said from day one it could take 3 or 4 months, maybe, but I really suspected it would be less based on my symptoms. PT twice a week is very inconvenient for a single working person, but I was determined to resolve this ASAP.

I had gone for PT for about one month, and had not even used up the basic PIP coverage when I received threatening letters and verbal accusations to try to avert me from having what appeared to be just a few weeks or so more of treatment (I was still getting headaches, unable to lift objects well, and limiting my work time).

But I was forced to get a lawyer, go for unnecessary medical appointments and tests, "ordered" (yes, per threat of not getting my needed treatment) to go to their business associate doctor located way outside of Boston to discredit ALL my medical professionals affiliated with Boston's top hospitals, all for a basic, textbook case that required minimal care. They threatened not to pay for this short treatment if I didn't go this one doctor that they hand picked. I held my ground and insisted as an INJURED person, driving three hours out of my way just wouldn't work.

I must add that I got consistently INCONSISTENT information by multiple people, and no longer knew who to believe. I work in publishing and am fairly methodical about managing facts and information.

I was upset for no reason, using up precious time and energy while trying to balance work, PT, and self-care.

I dislike having to take the time to write this, but I wish you all the best of luck with better companies!
