I purchased an extended warranty from Auto Advantage Inc (representative) for the company Western General Warranty Corp. My contract cost @2150.00.
10 months later I had a knocking in my engine. Called Western general and they told me to take it to a shop. I took it to my local ford dealer and they worked directly with WG from that point on. Almost a week later I was told by the dealer that my truck needed a new engine due to a failed cylinder and that Western general had denied my claim because they had determined that the failure was due to wear. The dealership even said that it was not caused by normal wear and if it was wear the other 7 cylinders would also be worn, which they were not. Now today when I told them I want to cancel my worthless warranty they tell me it will take 7-10 weeks to stop charging my credit card the $130 per month. Sounds like another way to stall and scam me out of another $260.
Be very afraid of this company.
