Because I was injured physically, my husband went to Pat Clark Pontiac alone with a print out of their used car Toyota Camry, 2210 miles from the internet to look at the car on 5/13/04. After several hours of unsuccesful negotiation (my husband needs my agreement so he called home several times) the manager asked to speak with me. We negotiaged at the walk out price of 16,500. But when the paper was ready for my husband to sign, the price was hiked up to 16750.01, and the manager said he cannot discount the document fee.
My husband was quite elderly and very exhausted from all these. He came home with the paper signed and instruction that he has to bring a cashier check back within 7 days to the dealer. I was rather upset of the change of the final price. I have requested the print out of the details history of the car during the negotiation, and was told they will bring it with the car the next day to my house. When the car and detail history print out came the next day, the mileage was shown as 22101,20 thousand more than what was indecated on the internet print out. We called them on Monday 5/17 to complain but was told my husband signed the paper and test drive the car, so they have no responsibility.
