I took my vehicle in to El Cajon Ford for maintenance. The next day I received a phone call, on my cell phone, from a marketting company, Intellisys, located in Louisiana. They wanted to know about my service experience at El Cajon Ford. Now I am receiving other telemarketing calls on my cell phone, even though it is listed on the Do-Not-Call list.
El Cajon Ford gave me personal information to a third party without my knowledge of consent.
I went to EC Ford and asked the President, Paul Leader, what information they gave to Intellisys. He told me they gave my name, phone number (cell phone), and my work order number. He also said that what they did is legal. I asked him if he would put his statement in writing and he refused. He said he was afraid of a lawsuit. I asked him if what they had done is legal, what are you worried about? He just schrugged it off.
I'll be requesting what information he divuldged to Intellisys in writing and if he refuses, he will be in violation of California Business and Practices Code, Section 1798.83.
If you had similar experiences with El Cajon Ford, let me know!
