Rewards Card Replacement

I have been a loyal customer of Dick's for many years and I am a rewards card member for all of that time. Recently I asked an associate at Dick's in Richmond, VA (Virginia Center Commons) about replacing my score card because was worn out. She told me that in order to transfer a new card to my account, that i would need to go online at the Dick's websiteto do so. I tried that and could not get the site to accept my registration. I am internet and computer savy so that is not the problem.

Later I went to Dick's at Short Pump Shopping Center (Richmond, VA) and asked the same question about the card. I was told that they had no way of transfering my points to a new card. I left frustrated again. This past weekend I went to Greensboro, NC and stopped in at Dick's there. After making a purchase I ask the cashier about getting a card and transfering my points and he said there was no problem and I watched him do it in about five minutes. I saw the big "Transfer" icon that he touched on his screen when he got my information.

What is going on with the Richmond stores? Why was I given the run around? As a loyal customer i am not very happy about this and would like an explaination for this.
