In February of I purchased a used Kia Sportage from William Chevrolet. I put down $1000.00 and they let me take the car without a financer. I was then asked to put down an additional $1500.00 which I did.
My car note was reasonable, however, my car was not. Not too long after I purchased the car, I contacted Brian to ask if they could look at the car without me having to pay any service fees and he agreed.
The car was leaking anti-freeze but they could not find anything wrong in any part of the car. So I told them I did not want the car and they needed to do something to remedy the situation. I walked out the same day with a new 2003 cavalier.
Yes, I should have not done business there again but I did.in jUne I traded the Kia in.in August, I was contacted by the financer for Kia and said that the following I was being reported to teh credit bureau for non-payment.
I informed them I no longer owned the car. I had to contact the finance rep and told him about the situation. I called back soo thereafter and demanded that they provide me with documentation that the payoff had been settled.
They provided me with FedEx Papers for that same day.
I called the kia financer the following week and was told that they had received the check but a balance had remained. I called them back and relayed this information.
To this day, I don't know if tehy paid aff teh remainder but I haven't received any overdue notices. I am glad that they are being investigated for their deceptive and fraudulent business practices. This story includes many other events but too long to go into detail here.
