William Chevrolet - Kia Trade in not paid off not paid off after almost 5 months

I purchased a 2001 Chevy Tahoe from this dealership 12/03, I used a trade-in (2000 Ford Taurus) and $1500 as my downpayment.

I found out 3/04 that my old car had not been paid off, they had only made a partial payment enough so that the finance company for the old car would not contact me. When I found out what had happened I contacted the dealership and was told that the dealership had been shut down by GMAC.

After going round and round here I am 5 months later and no better, my old finance company is now preparing to sue me (the informed me that the dealership advised them to pick up the car because they were filing for bankruptcy and had no intentions of paying of my car) unless I make the payments and I can not afford 2 car note.

The finance manager "Tina" has assured me the car is going to be paid off it is only a matter of when someone buys the dealership. What am I do to.
