Stammler Porche - Audi ripoff dishonest fraudulent work

My sons car (a 2001 Audi A4) was taken to Stammlers for a replacement ignition coil that was recalled by Audi.

When it was taken in for the replacement and at the same time had an oil change, my son told Stammlers that the engine light continually stayed on and that there seemed to be a lost of power when accelerating.

The car was checked by Stammler's mechanic and was told the car needed a a New Mass Air Flow Sensor which they scheduled for for 4/21/04 to be done.

After the igniton coil was replaced, my son left and was proceeding home, when once again the "Engine" light came on. Once he arrived home he called Stammlers and told them that the "Engine" light came on again. He was told that it wasnt from the ignition coil that was replaced, but from the Mass Airflow Sensor.

On Sunday, 04/18/04 while driving to work the car quit running completely! It was towed to Stammlers who on Monday gave an estimate of $4016.00 of work... Cylinder Head. Timing Belt, Mass Air Flow and Right Wheel Bearing and a few other items.

The car was to be completed and picked up on Friday, 4/23/04 which on Friday my son received a call from Stammlers stating the "Truck" that had the parts for his car broke down and it would be either Monday 4/26 or Tuesday 4/27 before he could pick it up.

On Tuesday when my sons roommate went to pick up the car, the parts manager stated that the machanic took the car out for a test drive and got no futher than out of the parking lot, that once again the car stopped running. He quoted that it was going to be another $1600.00 to replace the Turbo that was blown.

When my son called me about what was taking place, I called the Parts manager myself. Needless to say I was irrate. I asked the parts manager Tom Lomnal (not sure of the spelling of last name) if the car was driveable, he replied yes. I told him to hand over the keys to my sons roommate, what work that was done so far would be paid and the car will be taken elsewhere to be checked out. I will say at that point I was so mad I slammed down the phone.

About 5 minutes later I received a call from my sons roommate that this Tom handed him the keys and told him "You will be lucky if you make it out of the parking lot. (Lie #1 to me about the car being driveable)

Today I called the Audi Manufacturer to let them know what had happened and that I was advised before filing a complaint with the State Attorney General of Colorado, to try all avenues in resolving this issue.

I spoke with a representive who said he would was going to call Stammlers and speak with the mechanic and parts department and that he would get back to me within 24 to 48 hours... Only approx. 4 hours had passed when he called and stated what Tom told him.

Stating that my son had told Stammlers that the "OIL Light" (please note "OIL LIGHT") came on and that even with the oil light on my son continue to drive the car causing a blown Turbo. It was obvious at that point that Stammlers had filled the rep with such a story, but also it was apparent the rep believed them..

From this point, not only am I filing here, I will be filing with the State Attorney General of Colorado, Better Business Bureau and placing a notice on my website informing what took place with my son and if anyone else from around the Boulder/Denver area have ever had problems with this car dealer... I will also be placing a 4 X 4 ad in the Denver Post newspaper asking the same thing... Titled: Did This Happened to You and how to get in touch with me.
