Truck was junk and they did not want to admit it! Rip-off!

I purchased a truck last year from these people. The salesman was very nice and promised me the world. I even bought their warranty.

Let me just comment that the only reason I had to go to them was because I co-signed for a International truck for my business with a payment of 710.00 a month and the dealerships I went to said that my income would not be high enough to cover the truck payment and a car loan. So I go to JD Byrider cuz "they can help anyone".
I have this truck for 1 week and it starts having an over heating problem, electrical problem, and a brake problem. So I call them. They replaced the alternator 2 times and said the brakes just needed fluid. They also told me that they could not find a problem with it over heating.

So fine. I take it home. A week later it has over-heated and quit running. So I have to pay for an $88.00 to bill and it took them 5 days to get me a loaner car since my business depends on me having a car. So I missed out on some jobs that week because I had no car to go anywhere.
They had my truck for a MONTH because of course the heads were blown on it.

I kept getting excuses like "we have guys out sick and on vacation" as to why it took so long to finish the work. Got the truck back. Still running a little on the warm side but as long as I did not run the a/c it did not over heat.

Then a month later, we are on our way to Philly for my mother-in-laws wedding, which we have saved a whole year for this trip. We get just outside of cleveland and the whole truck just shuts off in the middle of the highway. So we called a tow truck to get us to a motel and figuring I had the warranty it would be fixed, no problem.

So I called the warranty company the next morning. Told them where the truck was and could they please find out how long it would take to fix it. I waited 4 hours and no one ever called me back. So I called them again and they had no idea what I was talking about. So I called the lot in Sandusky. They give me the number to the shop in Akron.

I called there and they said I woul have to have it towed to them. I said why can't the shop that has it just fix it. I was told that if anyone else fixes it the warranty is voided. I said ok. So I called the Sandusky lot and asked if I could get a loaner car and was told "as usual" we don't have one available.

I got a rental car at the cost of 350.00 for my trip that week. Well then I called and found out I had to pay for the towing which was 140.00. I threw a fit. We had hardly any money left and no one was willing to do a damn thing to help. So they said they would pay for the tow and then I could pay them back when I got back on Monday. I said ok.

Well, 4 days goes by, I still have not heard anything about my truck so I called. We missed the wedding by the way. My truck is still sitting where it was orginally towed to and now has fees for storage on it. Now we are up to 180.00. So I called and they finally went and got the truck but I had to go pay the storage and towing before we could get it.

Then I get a call. Apparently, When the heads go on a vehicle it puts water into the cylinders. This is not a good thing. It has to be cleaned out. They did not clean it out and the problem worsened over time and shattered the crank in the engine.

Of course, that would cost me 50.00 for the warranty.
Akron got me a loaner car. Funny how they could get me one right away. So Akron has the truck for 2-3 weeks. We go and pick it up. Mind you it is winter by this time.
We have it one day and it starts backfiring. Took it back to Akron and one of the spark plug wires was cracked.

Akron is 2 1/2 hours away plus tolls and gas.
So we have the truck all thru winter. I noticed the temp gauge goes up to 210 and then when the thermostat opens it goes back down to normal. So I figured that was how it was supposed to be. Suddenly it starts warming up outside and low and behold it starts heating back up.
So I called the lot in Akron and he said "sounds like the heater core." I said "could be."

So once again I trek down to Akron. They replace the heater core and fix the brakes that were never right and never fixed the first time. Mind you, the heater core is not covered so that cost 220.00 to fix. So next thing you know, I have the truck one day and boom, over heating again.

Ao I called Akron and told them. They said to get it to them. I told them it is not drivable. If it gets too hot it will blow up again. So they tell me to call Sandusky and see if they can get it over there. So they are "kind" enough to pay for the tow because I am broke by this time. They put my truck on priority and I of course had to go get another rental car.

They called and said that the Akron garage had put a couple hoses on wrong and that the thermostat was not right so the truck would be ready the next day. So today, i get a call. My radiator is plugged and has to be replaced to the tune of 290.00 which I don't have.
So I tried explaining this to them and they said they could not help me. They were being nice and not charging labor.

I told them that this truck has been over heating since I got it and his response was "so you're telling me you have been abusing your truck for a year?" SAY WHAT? I haven't had my truck long enough to do anything to it because THEY always have it. Then I am told I was the one who told Akron that the heater core was bad. I was like "excuse me?" How would I know that?

So my recourse was to consult legal help. To that he responded, if that is what you feel you should do. Then my phone died. Out of frustration I got my cellphone out and called Akron and was told that if I make my payment that is 2 weeks overdue, they can fix my truck. What kind of outfit is this?

The reason it is past due is because I had to fork out money to have it fixed in the first place! So I called an attorney and was told to go ahead and pay for the radiator and then to bring all of my paperwork to him.
Not only do I plan to sue for the money I have put out on this hunk of junk, but also for lost time and wages, and for pain and suffering.

Since no one will call me back they have left me no choice. Also, I was threatened with, if you get an attorney just make sure your payments are on time. I said "is that a threat? You gonna repo the truck?"
My response was "click".

I have bought many vehicles in my time, I even had a van the same age as this truck. Not one time in 5 years did I have problems with it. And after the 5 years, the transmission started acting up. I called the lot I bought it from and they PAID to have it fixed even though they did not offer a warranty program. They did this because they WANT return customers. Perhaps if JD Byrider would do better by their customers they would not get "ripped off by every 4th customer".
