9 months ago I purchase a used vehicle (2004 Ford Escape), and a week ago the truck was showing signs that something was wrong. I took it to local place and paid $125.00 for them to tell me it was the transmission is going. I called the dealership and was told that they do not do that work I should take it to ford place. Took the truck to another garage and was told the same thing. Called dealership where i got truck from explain that I only had truck for 9 months the truck itself was only 10 years old and this should not be happening. Was told that they would have to do there own test which i would have to pay for plus pay for the truck to be towed there he see it might be just line that needs to be flushed. I told him I had to reports saying that it was the transmission and didn't care because the truck was not checked by them. Spoke with GM for used cars and was pretty much told that they don't need to do anything because was not under the warranty anymore and it was over 100 thousand miles (not by much) I was upset then he said that he could give me a SMALL discount off the tow and diagnoses. I ask about the cost of having a new and/or used transmission and was told no. Because they don't owe me anything remember the truck is no longer under warranty, so guess what I had to drain my savings and have a truck that I only had for 9 months fixed. The cost to get it done $1,749.00, no more savings and a sour taste in my stomach for Middletown Nissan.
