I went with das to ship my car across country from California to Florida because they have their own trucks/drivers and figured my car will get to me quicker. When they gave me 16 day delivery date i was a lil surprised but figured it would be worth the wait. Well my car was picked up on june 15th and sat at a "terminal" were it sat until the 1st of july... 16days!!!
After the 16th day it made its way to morrow georgia on july 5th. Now bear in mind morrow georgia is about a 6 hour drive from my home in spring hill fl. People at das assured me my car would be at a terminal an hour and 20 minutes north of my house by july 8th. Yes the das truck is passing my house by an hour and 20 minutes and driving to a tow yard where they are supposed to call me and schedule another appointment for delivery.
So then das bumped up my date it was supposed to be at the terminal to the 9th of july. Here it is the 10th of july and I still do not have my vehicle. It has taken them 5 days to drive 6 hours and nobody still knows where my car is. Their online tracking system updates when it wants too. It is not true real time tracking. When I call das and try to get answers nobody can give me a straight answer. They dont even have a number to reach the driver f the truck thats transporting my car!
I spoke to a so called das "supervisor" named bryan and to throw salt on the wound he said" I cant be without my car for 1 day let alone over 3 weeks" WOW! That made me realise the kind of unprofessional and discourteous people I was dealing with. He said he would call me back the next day with more info and that was 5 days ago.
I am very dissatisfied with this company and have had to purchase a rental car to get myself and my family around. I paid $1150 for door to door service and feel like I am not getting any kind of service at all. I would like some kind of reinbursement for my time, aggrivation, inconvinience, loss of my car etc etc. Please do not use das shippers.
