I recently moved from Sacramento to New York with this company. I have never felt so abused and taken advantage of. Adam was my initially consultant and he came to the house evaluated my shipment, and told me everything was going to be ok. They would get my stuff there when I needed it, there would not be a delay. He was telling me about other clients that he had given quotes to and then they went with different companies and got burned.
He made me feel completely at ease. He gave me the estimate that was a little bit pricier than other companies, but I felt good about everything he said. He even came back out a second time, he called on a regular basis to make sure things were lining up ok. The last phone call I got was a few days before my pick-up asking to move it either up or back a day. From there I made every phone call to the company, and all the warm and fuzzy feeling went out the door.
They picked up my stuff, and did a fairly ok job being careful with it. My delivery was scheduled for July 5-10th. On the 26th of June I called to make sure the delivery date was ok, and I was told there were no problems. On July 5th I called and was told that my delivery was scheduled for July 16th-20th. They give a 4 day window. I asked why the delay, and was told someoe would call me back. 2 days later someone called and I got a bunch of run around with nothing definetive. I filed a compaint with the BBB. On July 18th I called and I was told the truck broke down a week before, and they were not sure when it would be running again and when my stuff would arrive. When I asked why no one bothered to call me and the manager, me that she had been so busy that she had not been able to. She proceded to give me further run around and nothing definetive.
On July 21st, I called again and was told that my stuff would be arriving August 4th -8th. I was furious, but could get no real info on where my stuff was, and why there was such a dely. On August 8th I called because I had not heard from the company again, and I was told the driver would be calling me on the 10th to schedule delivery. At 10:30 pm on the 10th the driver called and we scheduled delivery for the following day at 2 pm. The next day at noon, I received a call stating that they needed a shuttle truck and so they could not deliver until Saturday. This also infuriated me, because it was well known in advance that I would need shuttle service.
On Saturday I was scheduled to have delivery at 8 am. I waited till 1 pm with no phone call or anything. I tried to call the number of the driver and no one answered. I called over 20 times with no response. Finally at 1 pm someone called and stated that they would be able to deliver at 5 pm. I told them that I had someplace to be at 8 and would need them to be unloading the truck at 5 pm. THey stated this was fine. Again no one showed up. At 11pm I got a call stating that they would not be coming that night. Finally on Monday my things arrived and they were heaped into the truck. Most of the boxes were damaged, and multiple things were broken.in addition, 7 boxes are missing as well as a mirror. I have attempted to contact this company and everytime I get the same response. Let me look into it and I will call you back. No one has called me. I have made every effort in terms of contacting them.in addition, Adam has never contacted me or attempted to find out how my move went.
