I called them in November regarding a payoff balance, went down and paid it in full. I then called the following Monday for my lien release and was told I still owed $1000. I asked why, they said that they could charge me 3% interest a day on two deferred payments, and in a years time it came to almost $1000. They gave me 14 days to pay it. They called me names, I complained. They put my account on investigation, told me not to make any further payments until they "fixed" my ledger.
Then after numerous telephone conversations, they came and picked up my truck, left my other truck in the middle of the road. I ended up paying the $1000 to avoid a repo, but am sick about it. I went there because I have bad credit, and they "preY" on us that do, and that stinks. Now, I have to get an attorney and fight for my money back, which will probably never happen anyway. Stay away from drivetime - they're liars.
