In december I gave parkway $500 as a deposit to hold a black 1996 Cadillac STS for me and made an agreemant with Joe that the following week I would return with another $500 to add up to a Thousand dollars and then pay $1,500 in 60 days to total $2500 and take delivery of the car. I was told that the car would be moved to a storage lot until the balance was paid. On Monday of the next week I returned to Pay the $500 as agreed but joe was not in.
The car was gone and when I told Chuck who I found out later was the owner. That I was paying on the Black STS and asked where it was they said that when I paid the $1300 on Saturday they moved it to the storage lot. I informed him that I did not make that payment and told him that I paid Joe $500 to hold the car on Tuesday. He replied that they had sold it and ask if i wanted anything else on the lot.
The BLACK 1996 CADILLAC STS with the BEIGE interior and SUNROOF was the only car i was interested in. I went home and later called them back after talking to a friend Who informed me that it was illegal for them to sell the car after i had given them a deposit. They looked up the reciet and told me that since I had put money down first than the car was mine. When it was close to the time to take delivery on the car i called and asked for the VIN # for the car for my insurance and got the run around for a week Finally joe gave me a bogous vin that turned out to belong to an Eldorado (as if the insurance company would know that) another week went past and still no VIN after excuse after excuse I started to suspect somthing was wrong.
Finally the date came when i was to take delivery of the car I had know vin # and know car. I was told to come back the next day and they would have someone bring it over this was Friday The car lot is about 30 miles from my home so i called to see if the car was there and was given another excuse and told to call monday I stopped in monday and was given some BS about the car stopping on the way over and that it was going to be towed to a shop and to call back in a couple of hours so I went an took care of some business and came back, NO CAR.
I was told again that tha car had been taken to the shop and that it was being looked at, But unknowingly Joe slipped up and said the actual location of the shop that services there cars. I went to the shop and was told that they did not have the car had no oder for the car and was told by the actual guy who dose the purchasing for the Car lot that he did not know of or even remember a black STS. I returned to the Lot and there is joe with another lie that I could actually comfirm saying that he just got off the phone with the shop and that there working on the car now.
CAUGHT! I asked what shop he was talking about because i just left the one he told me it was being taken to. He looked shocked that I knew the shops loacation and pretended to get on the phone and call the shop to see where the car was and than told me that they must not have picked it up yet and to call him tommorrow. The Jig was up. I called the lot to see what they were going to say and was told another lie about the car was messed up and that they were not going to be able to sell me the car and tried to get me to buy a concorde for the same price.
I told them NO and demanded my money back. They told me to return Friday and they would refund my money when i came in Friday they tried to run a scam again and told me that the guy that does the refunds had just left. I tried to stay Christian Like and told them that i was returning at four and that they had better have my money or a check becuase this was the last time i was returning to the Lot, and hoped they got the message. At four I reuturned and waited for awhile and recieved my refund and guess waht I heard chuck offering someone on the phone for $2000 The concorde he tried to sell me for $6995. Dont shop at parkway!
