I went to get gas yesterday on my way home from work. I pulled into SunCoast Energy, not familiar with the place at all. I pulled up, put my credit card in, and started pumping gas. I read on the VERY hard to read LCD screen "5.399" and knew it could not possibly mean $5.39 per gallon.
I then took a glance over at the screen and noticed at 7 gallons, my charge was at about $41.00!!
This gas station was actually charging $5.39 PER GALLON!!! Of course, there were NO signs posted anywhere in the parking lot or out by the street. I went inside and asked the snobby young woman behind the register how they could possibly be charging people that amount and with an exaggerated smile on her face, she said "we have been doing it for 8 years now." I could NOT believe it.
I went next door to Cracker Barrel for dinner with family and told ever person I saw to stay away from that place.
This place HAS to be stopped. If anyone is down to protest outside of their lot, I would be MORE than willing to join!!
