I went to return my car to hertz rental place, as I was getting late for my flight i went to this gas station (now Suncoast energy) to fill up before return. After i fill up i realized the price is 4.39/gallon!
I was convinced that it must be a mistake on sign because going price for regular is 2.40/gallon. I went inside and asked about the price. Attendent told me thats the going price and they have been doing it from last 6 years! She said its the location. I wasnt conviced and she started getting attitude and becoming rude. As some other customers over heard my argument and thanked me for saving them. Another 3 customers turned around and left and one canceled his transaction. Thats why probably she was getting an attitude.
This is price gouging. Its a crime, and it is happening openly! I dont know how they are doing it and how it is allowed!
