Does anybody recall the Seinfeld show where the rental location doesn't have vehicles despite the fact that Jerry reserved one? The punch-line was ostensibly this "you need to do a great work going for a reservation, however, you do not contain the reservation". Our situation precisely. We'd a reservation for nearly fourteen days to get a car. Having had irregular support together previously I went from the evening before to determine when they had vehicles about the lot. They did not. And so I named the day of the reservation at 8. I talked with John (who I later discovered was the supervisor) and informed him I had been confirming the reservation for 9. The very first thing he explained was "well it's 8 now". He was instantly cynical and seemed frustrated that I had been calling that early. He established they'd no vehicles but he was performing his better to discover one and questioned easily might wait buying up to 10. I mentioned no, we required the automobile for business factors and required it at 9. He explained he'd create a phone, then call me in fifteen minutes. He didn't maintain that dedication aswell. At 8:45 I named and got to him again and questioned why he did not contact me back. He explained he was active. But he'd some good information for me personally. He'd discovered an automobile! The not too excellent information was they were busy placing a door-handle about the vehicle also it could be prepared by 10. Obviously I ended the reservation and went all the way down the road to Avis to obtain a rental. But wait, there is more...
I approached their nationwide customer support division to protest and requested for that titles of the neighborhood department supervisor, his boss, after which his boss. The only real title they'd provide me was John whilst the department supervisor, no additional titles could be provided for "protection" factors. What? I questioned how is the fact that harmful to understand who the supervisors were, however they wouldn't provide the info out. Oh well, I did so my very own digging and discovered who the nationwide administration group is (cheers Consumerist) and they'll be receiving my criticism. Today it'll proceed in the top-down. I have applied this department for both company (my spouse and I have been in the insurance business) as well as for personal factors. Obviously, that'll not happen again.
