Gulf Stream Motor Coach
Ripoff Warranty repairs not fixed either at factory (twice) or at warranty repair shops. RV still leaking from water tank inside and outside RV. Its one year since purchase

My husband is going to be 80 years old and I will be 64 in a few months. We have invested our savings so that we could visit our children in Tucson, Arizona and in California. This year, we have had to cancel all of our trips and weekend campouts with our children, friends and grandchild. Is this the way senior citizens should be treated? If we wanted to wait a year to travel, we would have waited until the 2004 RV's came out. Can anyone help us with out our spending any more money?

We purchased a 2003 Gulf Stream BT Cruiser, 24 feet, on December 17th.
Purchased and serviced at; Dusty's RV's, (dates below), 7400 SR 60 East, Bartow, Fla. 33830
Service again in New Jersey at; Sunbird RV's, (dates below), corner RT #70 & RT #9,1359 River Ave, Lakewood, NJ 08701
Serviced at factory; Gulf Stream Factory, (dates below), 503 South Oakland Ave, Nappanee, Indiana 46550
We have had numerous problems from day one of purchase;

The main and unresolved problem being the Water Tank Leak. The water tank has leaked inside and outside of the RV soaking the rugs and causing the water tank to empty.

Explanation; we can not camp, self contained, due to the loss of water. Water leaked under the bed, rugs soaked and the fact that the tank empties onto the roadway while driving. The water tank supplies the water to the bathroom sink, toilet bowl, shower and kitchen sink. Besides the fact that while driving our floors were making a squishing sounds and our shoes we wet. We now have a musty odor in the vehicle.

Repairs done
Repaired Cowl leak by Ford dealer in Florida and NJ
Repaired & replace all exterior lights due to water leaks
Repaired seal between cab and body
Replaced electric steps after 4 times and second factory visit and pictures had to be sent to GS.
Replaced rugs but they were stained and wet after replacement. Have not been replaced again. And now there is a musty smell in the coach.
Patched Cracks in pull out room camper (was cracked at purchase date)
Fastened Bathroom door jam hanging loose
Replaced water tubing from tank 6 times (still leaking outside)
Removed tank and turned it around (still leaking outside)

In closing we have sent register letters to the company several times requesting a brand new Coach. We have a work order sheet from Dusty's that stated both Gulf Stream and Dusty's were aware of the water tank problem prior to sale of vehicle. We also have a signed paper that transporters slept in the Camper during transportation to and from Factory.

If we wanted a second hand camper we would have purchase a used coach. We have very clear picture pictures of the condition of the Coach prior to and after repairs. We also save all dated, emails, registered letters, and all correspondences with the company from day one.

As per my request, we also requested and received $1746.00 for mileage from my home for the 2 round trips to the factory. To date we received a lot of promises for proper repairs. But the water is still leaking outside of the coach. They even sent the Customer Service representative to NJ to look at the vehicle to no avail.

The amount of loss is really $65,000. It has depreciated $20,000 since date of purchase but it is still not usable. I think this may be covered under the Magnuson Moss Act. To invest in an attorney at this time is not feasible for us.
Coach has musty odor.
