Upon purchasing an automobile from Phil Long Ford at Motor City, I was given information on Referral Fees and told if anyone referred by me were to purchase a car themselves, I would receive a $100 referral fee.
I referred a friend about 6 months later. She provided all of my info as the one who referred her. She was told payment would be mailed to me and even provided them my new address. That was June.
I have contacted Phil Long Ford several times, only to be told they would get back with me and even told once payment should be received in a few weeks. No payment was ever made and no calls returned.
Just be aware, any referral programs mentioned by this dealer is likely to be bogus and just a gimick to get more business for them. You'll never see your referral fee.
