LAZYDAYS RV SUPER CENTER ripped off Retired Couple Stranded in Albuquerque - Sales and Service Promises Broken

We offered our house and bought a 1992 Newmar Kountry Star in May from LazyDays RV Supercenter, Seffner, Fl to become Full Timers. LazyDays supplied a-5-yr / 100,000 distance motor and indication guarantee to pay people for ONE MORE 39,000 KILOMETERS that strangely found lighting directly after we put our deposit in Feb and delivered home to Jacksonville.

We got ownership in May and had a number of issues that we treked back again to Lazydays for every week throughout the one month guarantee period. A number of these issues weren't correctly fixed and we later needed the job completed with a nearby technician — these highly recognized licensed technicians at Lazydays could not or would not restore our full listing. Lost Kilometers and Period...

After operating just 4,000 miles, our 300-horsepower diesel engine failed on path to Alburqueque on July 4. We fortunately paid our RV guarantee to Rocky Mountain Cummins motor repair service simply to discover it had been created for an automobile and wouldn't protect the towing costs ($650) or RV expenses of the brand new or reconditioned motor we require ($15-18,000).

Cummins technicians informed us the motor isn't a 300-horsepower but merely a 250-horsepower. While named LazyDays with this, Liz Adamo, VP Revenue promises the prior operator along with a technician buddy souped up the 250 engine to some 300hp within their storage and that's that. (Flashback - Bud in Father Knows Best?)

Like A qualified RV seller, may a business move off a souped up motor as you initially mounted from the manufacturer without revealing these details for their customer? I believe not

In reaction to our notice to Don Wallace, boss, he delivered us a handwritten remember that Liz Adamo might solve all issues. Liz Adamo retorted that did not mean issues could be solved within our benefit.

There's no report of the 300-horsepower on any sort through Cummis, CarFax, Newmar or California DMV with this mentor. And, to date, LazyDays hasn't develop any bills for components or report of the change.

It's currently Dec 12 and Lazy Days RV Supercenter will not create great on the agreement.

Don Wallace, boss won't consider our telephone calls. Your mail hasbeen plugged and our salesforce, Mary Caldwell and Ken Jacobsen can't talk to us. We stay stuck with Rocky Mountain Cummins - these people have now been fantastic and individual.

All we would like is for Don Wallace to simply accept liability for that motor baitandswitch and his selection of a worthless guarantee, subsequently approve restoration on our 250 /300.

We've approached:
Better Business Bureau of Tampa Bay - ineffective
Florida Department of Financial Services - Ann Barrow (on first-name schedule with Don Wallace) ineffective
Hillsborough Consumer Protection - very useful but no energy

Liz Adamo and Don Wallace may declare that we voided the guarantee since we didn't alter the gas and also have the mentor maintained every four weeks or 4,000 kilometers as required within the guarantee agreement. That is accurate... We weren't provided the chance to sufficiently evaluate the agreement your day of final because it was contained in a labyrinth of paperwork.

whilst having warranty work completed in May we visited workshops such as the Cummins Engine course. The Cummins consultant obviously recommended those joining the gas ought to be transformed each 6,000 miles or 12 weeks.

Liz Adamo and Don Wallace may declare we'd not take the $5000 they provided - the maxium amount the guarantee might have coated... That is also correct. Nevertheless, a rebuilt diesel motor expenses over $15,000 and does not come near to the "reassurance" guarantee we'd approved to pay for higher-mileage.

If anybody want extra information or includes a LazyDays tale to talk about, please mail.
we shall revise

Wanting you orange skies and natural lights
